Show 2007

We had another fantastic show this year. There were a lovely number of exhibits both pedigree and household pet; and we also had some super cats on exhibition.  And indeed our numbers were up on last year.   It was lovely to see so many of the Association’s new colours being shown with only the Lilac-Cream not represented.

We would like to say a BIG thank you to our Show Manager, Paul Asquith, who did a marvellous job yet again for us in putting together such an excellent show.  We would also like to thank Gary Ryder for all his help as Assistant Show Manager.

There was a really friendly atmosphere present throughout the day and both Judges and Exhibitors appeared to thoroughly enjoy themselves; with many exhibitors promising to come again next year!

Our thanks go to our Judges Mrs Allen, Mrs De Martino, Mrs Hickey and Mr Read for their very generous support of the Association. Thanks also to the stewards for all their hard work throughout the day.  Special thanks go to our Duty Vet, Trevor Turner, who is always a pleasure to have on board your team.

The Association were again very lucky in attracting considerable interest from the residents in and around Twyford, where the show was held, who turned out in excellent numbers to view the exhibits and to talk with exhibitors.

All of the Association’s beautiful trophies were on display and I am always astounded by what a truly wonderful sight they are to behold.  Many of the clubs trophies are very valuable, having been donated when the Association was founded.  They rarely come out of storage and so it is always nice to see them seeing the light of day.

As always the Bacon Butties and other goodies on sale throughout the day went down very well with everybody, exhibitors, judges and the public alike.  Thanks go to Nigel Board, Gary Rainbow-Ockwell, Ceri Board and Andrew Rainbow-Ockwell for their sterling efforts in the kitchen.

A very successful Raffle and Tombola stall were run, this year, by Michelle Penn, daughter of one of our Committee members.  Michelle than.  To all of those people who supported the Club either by donating prizes and/or buying tickets many, many thanks.

Best in Show was done across the table, with the judging taking place on the show floor.  The exhibitors certainly seemed to enjoy being able to see the Best in Show Judging taking place.
